The FLIRC USB v2 dongle allows you to use your remote control with your Raspberry Pi. You configure the device on your computer, and you only stick it in your Raspberry Pi and thus have a perfect companion for your XBMC media center.
The FLIRC USB v2 can be configured to any IR remote, and it does not matter which manufacturer the remote control is from. If you just follow the super simple setup, you’ll pair the individual buttons on the remote with ‘media center buttons’ and it’s ready for use.
