Note that, due to the height of the fan, if you want to use HATs or pHATs with Fan SHIM, then you&#8217;ll need to use a\u00a0booster header.<\/p>\n<p>The fan can be controlled in software, so you can do crafty things like toggle it on when the CPU reaches a certain temperature. Use the\u00a0LED as\u00a0a handy visual indicator to show fan status, CPU load\/temperature, whatever! Attach with\u00a0another two nuts.<\/li>\n<li>Push the fan&#8217;s JST connector into the socket on Fan SHIM.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Software<\/h2>\n<p>Our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/pimoroni\/fanshim-python\">Python library<\/a>\u00a0lets you control the fan (on\/off), RGB LED, and switch.
